Affordable Professional+Â Recommendation
Kritikakis Village Hotel is very affordable, comfortable and professionally run hotel. The rooms are spacious, and we love the location of this hotel! Enjoy Gialos beach and the charming port with nice restaurants like Ithaka, or take a walk to the village. Kritikakis housekeeping service is my favourite! - Bye-bye hotels where they throw us out to clean the rooms in the morning!
The term "Professional+" are based on the fact that many hotels in the Greek islands are family owned, which has a certain charm to it. But depending on which price range you choose, these hotels can be very unprofessional. Based on this hotels EXTRA HIGH LEVEL of professional facilities and services, Kritikakis is THE MOST PROFESSIONAL hotel we've found in Greece on this price range.

Great value and the best "turndown"Â service, next to paralia Gialos and the Port of Ios
We've stayed at Kritikakis several times, and as a mother I do appreciate the professional way the management run this hotel. They are really good at their check-in service, the way they present the rooms and how well the facilities are run through their app. Their housekeeping until four a clock in the afternoon is amazing! They don't have a turndown service, but housekeeping until four qualifies! Kritikakis is like a small village with many stairs, corners and rooms. And by walking through the hotel up towards some narrow streets - you will find you self in the village/chora before you know it!

The pool area is relaxing and nice even though it looks worn, but never the less it's really nice to be able to relax by the pool if we're not heading of to Koumbara beach, Gialos beach or the port. The great thing about staying a few nights in this area, and some nights at the Mylopotas Bay, is that you get to enjoy more of Ios island.

Healthy and delicious
Nothing is more delightful than a healthy and nice breakfast when staying at a hotel. For me a nice breakfast is the key factor for the perfect vacation! The fact that I actually have time for a lazy morning sitting by this delicious table for as long as I like - that IS vacation. Kritikakis has a breakfast buffet and a pool bar.
ROOMS & SUITES
Spacious and professional
The rooms are spacious with light colors and soothing amenities. In particularly lovely shower cream, and the bath rooms are new and really nice. Some of the rooms are worn, while others are recently refurbished. I recommend that you contact the hotel to reserve a nice refurbished room!
SWMMING POOL
Relax by the pool, or enjoy the beach
Kritikakis offers relaxation by there two swimming pools, or enjoying the local shops and cafés - either by the port or in the village. The Gialos beach is only a few minutes away, and has water sports and several cafés and bars at your service.
